Our Premier Kicks League is our U8 league, everyone born in 2013. This league gets a little more competitive because we do keep score. This league is for the kids to work on their dribbling, moves, passing and playing as a team. They are starting to learn positions and which position each kid excels at, whether it is offense or defense. This is a great league for the players to get more touches on the ball while passing and moving with their teammates. All of our coaches for this league are parent volunteers. If you are interested in being a parent volunteer coach, please indicate that during the registration process, or contact the facility to let us know. All of the girl’s games are played on Saturdays. All of the boy’s games are played on Sundays. The practices are up to the parent volunteer coaches. Practices are not guaranteed in this league. The 8-game season and a jersey are guaranteed. Below are the rules of the league: There will be 3 players on the field. Each game is made up of two 20-minute halves with a minute of half time. A goal cannot be scored from the kick-off. A goal cannot be scored if kicked from outside the team's offensive half of the field. In other words, if the ball is kicked from either on our outside the yellow line on the team's offensive half of the field and goes in, it will not be counted as a goal. No player may enter the crease to play the ball. If a player enters the crease and touches the ball with any part of their body, it is considered a violation. Two Touch Violation (kicks offs & free kicks)- the player taking the kick may not touch the ball a second time until it is touched by another player on either team. A size 4 soccer ball will be used. All players will need a Blue Sky Sports Center player ID card to play in this league. Free substitution is allowed at any time. Score is kept in these leagues GENERAL REMINDERS: If a defensive player enters the crease and touches the ball with any part of their body (i.e. any foot or part of the body is physically inside the crease and touching the turf inside the crease) then it will be an automatic goal for the offensive team. If an offensive player enters the crease and touches the ball with any part of their body (i.e. any foot or part of the body is physically inside the crease and touching the turf inside the crease) then it will be a free kick from the top of the crease for the defensive team The top two teams will play in a championship game at the end of the season. Every player is required to wear shin guards and soccer socks that fully cover their shin guards. Every player must wear athletic shorts, and Blue Sky will provide the jerseys. We allow players to wear turf, indoor or running shoes to play. NO CLEATS ALLOWED.
