What game is almost 2000 years old but still stumps modern computers and master players? Chess! Have fun and learn the rules of this strategy game while, you develop critical and analytic thinking skills. Activities will be geared to true beginners and advanced players alike and each camp will include a chess tournament. Students will get a chess t-shirt, trophy, keychains and chess coloring book. Snacks will be provided. PLEASE NOTE: Each student’s skill level will be evaluated on the first day of class and he or she will be placed in a group with other students at their level. Students may move to a different group depending on their development as chess players during the course of the workshop.
