DIScover P.E. focuses on motivating children to build a foundation of wellness that strengthens the whole child and ecourages a positive relationship with physical activity through fundamental and functional movements, games, and sport. DIScover P.E. will be offered in multi-activity blocks from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
A typical one hour activity block will consist of:
- Small group configurations
- A warm-up
- 1 hour of guided play that will be divided into 2 activities that registrants will rotate through approximately every 20 minutes
- The fundamentals of basketball, track and field, bodyweight exercises, team sports, soccer, dodgeball, kickball, handball, cooperative games, and backyard games
- An instructor led cooldown and discussion of learned and positive outcomes
