The City will not allow private events on City property that exceed 250 participants and the City strongly recommends that all events on City property that do not maintain social distancing be postponed or canceled. Any person reserving a City-owned facility will need to sign a document that explains COVID-19 and the City’s requirements. The City will issue full refunds if you have current reservations and the event is canceled due to COVID-19.

From: John Mulligan, Public Works Director Click Here for Memo
|Subject: COVID-19: April 22, 2020, Parks and Recreation Update|
On March 13, 2020, I issued a memorandum regarding the suspension of the City’s Parks and Recreation programs and the closure of the Senior Center due to the COVID-19. The City has closed some facilities and canceled events and programs as a precaution to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the citizens of Sanger. These changes will remain in place until the City of Sanger City Council proclaims the termination of the Emergency Declaration. Please note that there are often updates and changes may be made from day to day. As of today April 22, 2020, parks will remain open with the following conditions:
Effective today, the following actions will take place:
Please note that while these changes are not easy, they are necessary to ensure the safety of the public. The coronavirus may persist on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days. By eliminating social gatherings and preventing access to equipment that may have the coronavirus present, we can continue to slow the curve.
